FOGG Open Letter – March 17, 2010

FOGG has received a number of excellent and well written comments that were sent to the SF Planning Department and Supervisor David Chiu concerning the Northeast Embarcadero Study and the last (but not final) Workshop.  To those who took the time and submitted comments we owe you a real debt of gratitude.

For those still thinking about sending comments time is running out.  The Planning Department has set an end date of March 24, 2010 and FOGG would certainly like to add many more responses to our support file.

It is important to have your comments documented.  You may review FOGG’s talking points in our Open Letter of March 2, 2010 on this website. Once again here are the email addresses where to send your comments. Thanks again for your support in saving our open recreational space.

On another front, we are reporting that our sponsor, the Agape Foundation has now gone national, by tying in with the Peace Development Fund (PDF).  PDF will now become our official sponsor as of April 1, 2010.  There will be NO CHANGE to FOGG’s tax deductible (501.c.3) status, and all donations will be fully tax deductible as in the past.

Until April 1st, you may still make your donations to AGAPE/FOGG and they are always deeply appreciated.  We will apprise you of any updates on how donations will be made after April 1st as soon as the details have been established.  In the meantime, you can make your donation by check made out to AGAPE/FOGG with the notation on the memo line: “tax deductible donation.”  Please mail to James Eggert, CPA, 550 Davis Street #46, San Francisco, CA 94111.  You may also make your donation online at this website. We are confident that your commitment to our mission will help our success, and we thank you for your continuing support.

FOGG is looking forward to its partnership with PDF, as it gives us additional leverage at the national level, and PDF’s mission is a perfect fit for us.  We are saddened, however, to lose our contact, friend and supporter at the Agape Foundation, Administrator Director, Nina Dessart.  Nina, with her knowledge, experience and positive attitude on tax deductible donations and understanding grant proposals, has been a real blessing for us.  If anyone out there needs a first class money manager, please let us know and we will put you in touch with Nina.
