FOGG Open Letter – April 5, 2010

FOGG has initiated a very special Fundraising Scholarship Program for the benefit of low income housing youngsters.  This Program will allow them to attend and participate in our outdoor Community Recreation Center’s (GGT&SC) Summer Kids Camp.

FOGG is excited in offering this initiative as another one of our community outreach programs.

Our goal is to raise $5,000.

We are pleased to tell you that GGT&SC will match our offer, and we are also working with FOGG’s new sponsor the Peace Development Fund (PDF) in obtaining a similar amount.

If we succeed in reaching our goal we can send up to 30 youngsters to share in this exciting and fulfilling summer program where the kids learn many social skills, take swim and tennis lessons, and share a positive experience among their peers in a safe and structured family-friendly environment.  Many of the Kids Camp instructors are previous participants, and now return as leaders to give their time and experience.

It is up to our FOGG Friends & Supporters to make this worthwhile project happen.  Your tax deductible donations are needed as soon as possible so that we can start signing up as many of those youngsters who would not have this opportunity.

Please send your tax deductible donation by check to PDF/FOGG, mailed to Jim Eggert, Treasurer and CPA, 550 Davis Street #46, San Francisco, CA 94111.  In writing your check, please enter on the memo line “Scholarship Program – tax deductible donation.”

This is a real opportunity for FOGG to give back to those who have supported us so generously through these many years in saving our Community Recreation Center.

We look forward to your prompt and positive response, and thank you in advance for your help.
