FOGG Open Letter – May 1, 2010

FOGG is pleased to tell you that our effort to raise $5,000 has reached the half way mark.  This money will allow a number of youngsters to attend our Community Recreation Center’s (Golden Gateway Tennis & Swim Club) summer Kids Camp.  This is an opportunity that these kids would not have had without your help.

The response up to this point has been excellent.  We extend our deepest thanks to those who have contributed.  Many FOGG members have made Scholarship Program donations in these first several weeks.  Some donors have included very supportive notes of appreciation.

Now is the time to complete our drive for this worthwhile project to help as many youngsters as we can participate in this summer program.

If you are still thinking about making a donation to the Scholarship Program now is the time.  The sooner we complete the drive the sooner we can have those kids signed up.

Remember GGT&SC will match our efforts, and all donations are tax deductible.  Please send your tax deductible donation by check to PDF/FOGG, mailed to Jim Eggert, Treasurer and CPA, 550 Davis Street #46, San Francisco, CA 94111.  In writing your check, please enter on the memo line “Scholarship Program – tax deductible donation.”

Or you can donate online by clicking on the ‘Donations to FOGG’ link on this website.

This is a worthwhile cause and is another quality benefit offered to our neighborhood and the City.  This could not happen if we lose our Community Recreation Center, which is threatened by the proposed development of luxury condominiums and a 400+ space underground parking garage on this site.

FOGG looks forward to your donations for this worthy cause and thanks you in advance for your continuing support.
