FOGG is really pleased at the responses sent by over 50 supporters on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed 8 Washington Street/Seawall 351 project for luxury condominiums and a 420 space underground parking garage to be built on the GGTSC site.
The comments sent were concise, factual and covered all the key issues: Transportation, Height Limits, Shadows, Aesthetics, Parking, Sea Water Levels, America’s Cup Races Impact, Time of Construction, Luxury Condominium Need?, and most important the loss of the City’s Only Outdoor Pool and Tennis Court Recreation Center. The responses, when printed out, stand 2” high!!
We thank all of our FOGG supporters who took the time and effort to research the issues and submit these comments. They clearly show how united we are in preserving our open recreational space. Continue reading “FOGG Open Letter – August 23, 2011”

We feel the Commissioners paid attention to what our people had to say and took seriously our message – “KEEP THE COMMUNITY’S OPEN RECREATIONAL CENTER (GGT&SC) OPEN AND OPERATING WITHOUT TURNING IT INTO A SHADOW OF ITS PRESENT SELF!” Continue reading “FOGG Alert – August 1, 2011”
