FOGG really appreciates the turnout of supporters at the July 21, 2011 SF Planning Commission hearing on the 8 Washington Street project Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR).
Our speakers were terrific. Their testimony was factual and said a great deal as to inaccuracies and holes in the DEIR. We owe a debt of gratitude to our attorney, Sue Hestor and FOGG consultant Brad Paul for researching and putting together much of the compelling testimony.
We feel the Commissioners paid attention to what our people had to say and took seriously our message – “KEEP THE COMMUNITY’S OPEN RECREATIONAL CENTER (GGT&SC) OPEN AND OPERATING WITHOUT TURNING IT INTO A SHADOW OF ITS PRESENT SELF!”
It is now time to enter Phase 2. We need you to write to the SF Planning Department. Your emails/letters should point out the inconsistencies and misrepresentations in the DEIR.
We are providing guidance to assist you in preparing a response. Please see these ‘DEIR Issues’ on the right side of this website.
Your emails/ letters must arrive by Monday, August 15, 2011. Please submit them no later than Thursday, August 11, 2011.
