FOGG Alert – March 10, 2013

The Campaign Begins!!

The Campaign for the November 5, 2013 election has begun.  As many of you are aware, San Francisco voters will get to decide ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ on the Referendum whether to raise the height limits along the Embarcadero and allow construction of the 8 Washington Street high-rise luxury condominiums.

We need your help now.

You can make your voice heard.  Our Coalition partner, NO WALL on the Northeast Waterfront, has developed an excellent brochure explaining the issue facing San Francisco voters in November.  FOGG asks you to help us distribute these brochures in the neighborhoods throughout San Francisco.

The brochures will be available for pick up on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the NO WALL Headquarters.  They are located at 15 Columbus Avenue in San Francisco.  You can pick up the brochures between 10:00am and 12:00pm.  If you cannot be there on March 16th, please call them at 415-894-7008 and arrange another time to pick up the brochures.

We know we will be outspent by the developer, San Francisco Waterfront Partners (Simon Snellgrove).  He has already spent $42 million of California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) money and will likely spend much more.

We know the commitment of our volunteers by working harder and smarter will overcome the dollars that the developer will spend.

We must convince the SF voters to vote ‘NO’ on the Referendum to raise the height limits for the 8 Washington Street high-rise luxury condominiums.

Saturday, March 16th is only the first step in a long and hard campaign before us.  FOGG knows we can count on you.

FOGG looks forward to seeing you on Saturday to pick up your NO WALL brochures.
