SF DCCC VOTES NO ON BALLOT MEASURE B!!
The SF Democratic County Central Committee at their Wednesday, August 14, 2013 meeting voted NO to support the 8 Washington Street developer’s Proposition B ballot measure.
This November 5, 2013 San Francisco ballot measure, if approved by voters, would allow the developer to build the high-rise, luxury condominiums. Our community’s outdoor recreational facility would be demolished.
Many thanks to Louise Renne, former City Attorney, and David Chiu, our District Supervisor and Board President. Their strong statements were compelling and gave the SFDCCC Board Members real reasons to vote NO on Proposition B.
We also thank our supporters who showed up on very short notice and who provided excellent testimony against this ballot measure.
As you may recall, the SFDCCC has already voted NO on ballot measure Proposition C. This ballot measure asks the SF voters to approve the ‘spot zoning’ height increase for the high-rise luxury condominiums.
We still have a way to go before the SF voters decide on both Proposition B (the developer’s) and Proposition C (NO WALL) on November 5, 2013. There is much work to be done to assure victory.
The DCCC vote tells us our cause is right. With your continuing support, we will succeed.
