JANUARY 1, 2014 – OUR OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL CENTER – GONE
YES! THIS COULD HAPPEN!
The Tuesday, November 5, 2013 San Francisco election is only 6 weeks away.
The voters will decide on the duel height increase ballot measures, Proposition B and Proposition C.
If the 8 Washington developer of the high rise luxury condominiums wins just one Proposition, construction could begin just 45 days after the election.
Our outdoor recreational center, which has been in the neighborhood for 45 years, will be demolished.
Early voting begins on Monday, October 7, 2013. That is only two weeks away.
We need your help NOW!
We must convince the SF voters to vote NO on Proposition B and NO on Proposition C.
FOGG’s many volunteers continue to give their time to send out the message.
If you have not already done so, please help now.
You can volunteer with the NO WALL ON THE WATERFRONT Committee by contacting them at 415-894-7008 or visiting their Headquarters at 15 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco.
You can visit the NO WALL website at this link. NO WALL ON THE WATERFRONT
And YES, there is an alternative development Plan for the neighborhood!
Asian Neighborhood Design, along with FOGG and other neighborhood organizations, developed in 2011 an alternative Plan for the entire San Francisco Northeast Waterfront.
This Plan balances revenue generating uses with open space and active recreation across all seawall lots and is both financially and politically feasible. The creators of this Plan believe it will yield more revenue than the City’s politicians and SF Port’s one-at-a-time approach.
This Plan preserves our outdoor recreational center, provides the SF Port with income, creates affordable housing and open public green space. It does not include a 400 space underground parking garage, which is in the proposed 8 Washington high rise luxury condominium development.
You can view this AND Community Vision Plan at AND Community Vision. (Please be patient as it may download slowly.)
Time is running out. Your support and volunteer efforts are needed now.

All we ask is a couple hours a week of your time. There is so much to do.
