Waterfront Vision Workshop – October 19 – Please Attend!!!
FOGG wants to advise you of the SF Port’s ‘1st Waterfront Vision Workshop’ scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2015 from 6:00pm-8:30pm.
The Workshop will be held at the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal – Pier 27, on the Embarcadero.
The Port’s Notice can be read at this link: Waterfront Vision Workshop
Here is your opportunity to present your interests and concerns on the future development of the waterfront, including Seawall Lot 351 and the adjacent open space.
FOGG would like to see the future development of SWL 351 be a low rise, (40 feet or less in height) sports activity center open to the public, based on the Asian Neighborhood Design (AND) Vision Plan for the Embarcadero northeast corridor. It would include a bicycle center for sales, repairs, and professional training information, plus tennis, swimming and fitness.
There also should be an indoor/outdoor café at this location.
The activity center would bring new life to the west side of the Embarcadero. It would be a good neighbor with both the present outdoor recreational center on Drumm and Washington streets, and the proposed Teatro ZinZanni theater project just a block away. It would also bring new revenue to the Port.
FOGG looks forward to having good representation of our supporters at the workshop.
