FOGG Alert – July 13, 2016

State Lands Commission Suit goes to Court February 6, 2017

The San Francisco Examiner reports in the Monday, July 11, 2016 edition that the State Lands Commissions lawsuit against the City of San Francisco challenging the voter’s right to set height limits – Proposition B – on the City’s waterfront goes to trial on February 6, 2017.

The story can be read at this link:  Examiner Article

For our supporters who are not San Francisco voters, Proposition B will let voters decide whether to allow any development on SF Port property to exceed the existing height limits.

The San Francisco voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition B in the June 3, 2014 election (58% plus).

The SLC, is headed by Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, who also strongly supported the 8 Washington Street 136 foot high rise luxury condominium development that would have demolished Bay Club-The Gateway, our neighborhood outdoor recreational center.

The SF Examiner, in the print edition, stated that “Before the trial begins, a case management conference is scheduled for September 21, 2016.”

FOGG will advise you of further updates.
