State Lands Commission Lawsuit – 8th Update – Trial Date Set
The court trial date for the lawsuit filed by the State Lands Commission (SLC) vs. the City of San Francisco concerning Proposition B, has been set for Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
You may recall that Proposition B, passed by the San Francisco voters in June, 2014 requires voter approval before a developer can exceed the present height limits on San Francisco Port waterfront properties.
The SLC is headed by Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, who is a candidate for California Governor. The election is November 6, 2018.
The trial will begin at 930am in the courtroom of Judge Suzanne Bolanos, Department 504, at the San Francisco Civil Courthouse located at 400 McAllister Street.
The trial is expected to last two or three days. Testimony is expected from several SF Port staff persons and other witnesses.
It will be interesting to see how long Lt. Governor Newsom intends to pursue this lawsuit against the voters of San Francisco.
FOGG will keep you updated as the trial progresses.
