Hello FOGG Supporters!

Friends of Golden Gateway is pleased to tell you that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Senator Carole Migden’s SB815 on Saturday.  This means that  Seawall Lot 351 (parking area abutting the Club site) remains under the Public Trust prohibiting private housing to be built on that site.

Hello FOGG Supporters!

Friends of Golden Gateway first wants to welcome aboard our new team members.  We are now at our highest level of membership.

FOGG volunteers and our attorney, Sue Hestor, had a very active and busy summer working with our coalition partners (Telegraph Hill Dwellers, Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association) to keep Seawall Lot 351 (Port property) within the Public Trust.  SB815 sponsored by Senator Carole Migden, has passed both the Senate & Assembly, and is awaiting the Governor’s signature.  With its passage SB815 keeps the developers from constructing private housing on this parking lot that abuts the Club location. None of this could have been done without hours of effort and a great deal of dollars to do our research and pay for the excellent legal services of our attorney.
