On Thursday, July 21, 2011 The SF Planning Commission will be hearing the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (DEIR) for the 8 Washington Street luxury condominiums and 420 space underground parking garage project on the Club site.

(FOGG Editor’s note:  The proposed project would demolish the existing recreation center’s 9 tennis courts and 2 outdoor pools and replace them with 4 tennis courts and 2 pools on top of a building along the Embarcadero, not taking into account the wind factor or noise from traffic.  Outdoor recreational space would be reduced by 52%).
