Season’s Greetings – December 16, 2007

Happy Holidays Dear Friends: FOGG has much to be thankful for this past year.  We thank the many of our members who wrote letters and emails and made phone calls to public office holders voicing their concerns about the impending loss of the open recreational space at the Golden Gateway Tennis & Swim Club.  Many of our members also wrote to the developer, San Francisco Waterfront Partners – led by Simon Snellgrove, and attended their neighborhood presentations.  The feedback that FOGG has received shows near unanimity against the 8 Washington Street project and a strong desire to keep the open recreational space.We owe a debt of gratitude to Senator Carole Migden in having her bill SB815 being signed into law to protect the Public Trust on Seawall Lot 351 (more on this later).
