Kids Camps Scholarships – 4th Update

In a little more than one month the 2016 Summer Kids Camps at The Bay Club – The Gateway will begin.  FOGG’s Kids Camps Scholarship Program has done well so far with donations from many of you.

WE CAN DO BETTER!!

We know there are a number of  5 to 12 years old boys and girls from low income neighborhoods who are patiently waiting for FOGG’S OK so that they can sign up for Kids Camps.

That depends on more of you helping.

FOGG appreciates the number of donors who have committed to the Scholarship Program.  We now urge that more of you make your tax deductible donation to enable these kids to participate in this Summer’s Camps at The Bay Club – The Gateway.

Remember for every $600 donation FOGG receives, the Bay Club donates one more Scholarship space.

Please send your summer Kids Camps Scholarship Program tax deductible donations to PDF/FOGG, P.O. Box 2294, San Francisco, CA 94126.  On the memo line write “2016 Scholarship Fund.”

Should you prefer to donate online, you can do so at this website.  Click on the ‘Donate to 2016 Summer Kids Camp’ yellow donation button.

FOGG is sure you will do the right thing and support our efforts in providing the kids a summer of fun and social activities in a safe, family friendly environment.

Community Forum Saturday, April 30, 2016 – 11:30am

FOGG wants to advise you of a Community Forum in San Francisco that you would want to attend.

California District 17 Assemblyman David Chiu, and San Francisco District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin are holding a Community Forum on Saturday, April 30, 2016.

The Community Forum starts at 11:30 am at the CCSF Chinatown/North Beach Center, 808 Kearny Street (at Washington Street), Room 402.

David and Aaron represent the part of San Francisco where our community open recreational space is, The Bay Club – The Gateway.

Both of them have been strong supporters in our mission to preserve our community open recreational space for the last 13 years.

This is your opportunity to hear what is going on both in Sacramento and at City Hall, meet other concerned citizens, ask questions and discuss neighborhood issues.

You can read the Community Forum invitation at the Page Link on this website.

FOGG is pleased to be co-hosting this event, and we look forward to seeing you there.

8 Washington Update – CalSTRS Still In?

FOGG told you in our March 6, 2016 Alert that developer Simon Snellgrove has quit.  He has terminated his Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (ENA) with the SF Port for Seawall Lot 351.

As you are aware, he wanted to combine SWL351 with The Bay Club – The Gateway site, demolish the Club and build high-rise luxury condominiums.

His partner in this development known as 8 Washington Street, was the California State Teachers’ Retirement System – CalSTRS.

CalSTRS has not yet quit. Continue reading “FOGG Alert – April 2, 2016”
